In addition to walking, he is also getting his ninth tooth. I think it might be a molar because it's a little far back in his mouth, and he has a swollen, painful-looking blood blister where the tooth is pushing through.
I'm not sure if it's a result of the teething, but for the past week or so, Ty has been waking up super early - usually around (sometimes even before) 5am. He's gone through phases of early rising before, so I hope it passes soon. I refuse to get him up for the day until 6am, so he needs to learn to entertain himself until then each morning. This doesn't help me get any sleep since I'm still awake, but I'm hoping that he will get the point and start waking up later.
Tyler had his one-year appointment with his Pediatrician the other day. He had to get 4 shots and it was heartbreaking to watch. He weighs 19 lb. 11 oz. and he a little over 29 inches tall. He is in the 10% for weight, 20% for height and 60% for the size of his head (He is slowly growing into that big head).
Last weekend, two of my best friends, Jessica and Corrie, came to Tallahassee from south Florida to visit with us. They hadn't seen Tyler since he was 3 months old, so it was nice that they could spend some time with him. We had a wonderful weekend.

Jessica bought him this Puma jumpsuit. As you can tell, he does NOT like wearing it.

Tyler thought the girls were hilarious.

One night, we took Tyler to see the Christmas lights at Dorothy B. Oven park. It was cold, but Tyler didn't seem to mind.

Now, we're looking forward to spending Christmas in Eastpoint with grandma, grandpa and Gigi, and spending New Year's in Tallahassee with Nana and Papa.

Happy Holidays!
